We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, community-based, non-denominational, multi-cultural, Christian outreach ministry committed to providing services to women who are secretly hurting.
DZEC is a ministry that arrests the emotional effects of domestic violence. Domestic violence is bondage without the physical ropes and ties, it binds you up emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. DZEC gives you awareness that you can get past these issues. We empower women of all backgrounds to help them become the women they were created to be.
The purpose/mission of DZEC is to empower women by creating avenues of hope for those who are and have been broken, bruised and who are secretly hurting; enabling them to see that there is a way out. DZEC stands for a way out! It paves the way for women and assures them that they can heal.
Our goal is to restore hope and bring healing to women who have been afflicted and broken.
Daughters of Zion Empowerment Center was founded and brought into fruition in June 2006, through a vision God gave to Pastor Karen. Called into the ministry in 1995, God ordained Pastor Karen to preach His Word and minister healing to all women. Having personally experienced being broken and wounded from childhood to marriage to well into her late 30's, Pastor Karen is very much aware of how easy it is to appear OK, but yet be secretly hurting.
Through the power of God's Word, Pastor Karen received healing and now her earnest compassion is to bring hope, healing and rejuvenation to women who are emotionally wounded. Out of her experiences and encounters with God, Daughters of Zion Empowerment Center was born to minister to the population of hurting women that has gone unnoticed.
