About

We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, community-based, non-denominational, multi-cultural, Christian outreach ministry committed to providing services to women who are secretly hurting.
DZEC is a ministry that arrests the emotional effects of domestic violence. Domestic violence is bondage without the physical ropes and ties, it binds you up emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. DZEC gives you awareness that you can get past these issues. We empower women of all backgrounds to help them become the women they were created to be.

Mission:
The purpose/mission of DZEC is to empower women by creating avenues of hope for those who are and have been broken, bruised and who are secretly hurting; enabling them to see that there is a way out. DZEC stands for a way out! It paves the way for women and assures them that they can heal.

Goal:

Our goal is to restore hope and bring healing to women who have been afflicted and broken.

History:

Daughters of Zion Empowerment Center was founded and brought into fruition in June 2006, through a vision God gave to Pastor Karen.  Called into the ministry in 1995, God ordained Pastor Karen to preach His Word and minister healing to all women.  Having personally experienced being broken and wounded from childhood to marriage to well into her late 30's, Pastor Karen is very much aware of how easy it is to appear OK, but yet be secretly hurting.
Through the power of God's Word, Pastor Karen received healing and now her earnest compassion is to bring hope, healing and rejuvenation to women who are emotionally wounded.  Out of her experiences and encounters with God, Daughters of Zion Empowerment Center was born to minister to the population of hurting women that has gone unnoticed.

 Vision:

Daughters of Zion Empowerment Center, Inc. has a God-ordained mandate to impact the women in today's society. As founder of this ministry, I've been given a vision and an assignment to fulfill God's purpose on earth. Isaiah 42:16 says, "And I will lead the blind by a way they knew not, and I will lead them in paths they have not known; I will make darkness light before them and crooked things straight; these things will I do unto them and not forsake them." I have seen this scripture come to pass in every area of my life, and now with DZEC. So I'm writing the vision, so he that read it, may run with it and together we will fulfill what has been decreed and declared over DZEC. (Hab. 2:2-4)

God first took me to Isaiah 11:16, which says, "And there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt." God said that the remnant that has  been left in Assyria, represents the women who are broken and in a place of despair. In the same manner that He brought the Children of Israel out of Egypt by making a path thru the Red Sea, that is how He is going to deliver His women. DZEC serves as a two-fold purpose. First, it will be the highway and path that God uses to bring His women out of a place of brokenness, despair and emotional bondage through ministering the Word of God. Secondly, it will serve as a training center that will empower women through workshops & seminars, equipping them to go into their promised land and possess the destiny that God has for them.
